JEE Main 2022 Exam Pattern as per NTA
After the release of the official notification by the HRD Ministry that NTA will be the new conducting authority for the JEE Main Exam from 2019 onwards, there are many questions about JEE Main 2022 Exam Pattern regarding possible changes that could be made in it.But according to NTA’s notification regarding JEE Main 2022 Syllabus and Exam Pattern, it clearly stated that there will be no change in the JEE Syllabus and Exam Pattern, It is the same as was officially notified for the Exam Pattern & Syllabus for JEE Main 2022.
JEE Main 2022 Exam Pattern includes all the details regarding how the main exams will be carried out. This includes mode of conduction, types of questions, marking scheme for JEE Main 2022 Examinations. Although the marking scheme underwent some minor changes and a few more points that we will be covering below in this article.
So as we all know the Exam Dates for JEE Main 2022 Examination are out and the schedule for 2022 are as follows:

So let’s now discuss the JEE Main 2022 Exam Pattern for Paper 1 and Paper 2 respectively.

JEE Main 2022 Exam Pattern - Paper 1

Courses Include: JEE Main 2022 Paper 1 will be conducted for those students who want to take admission into UG Engineering Courses (B.E./B.Tech).

Subjects Included: There are three subjects included in Paper 1 – Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics & the syllabus will be based on/similar to that of Grade 11 & 12.

Total Number of Questions -: There are a total of 75 objective multiple-choice questions that are divided equally into the 3 subjects namely Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

Duration of Exam: The Total Duration is for 3 Hours but for candidates with disabilities, the duration is of 4 Hours.

Question Paper Languages (Medium): For all the cities except Gujarat, Daman & Diu, and Nagar Haveli cities, the medium of JEE Main 2022 Examination will be English and Hindi and for these cities mentioned above, the medium of the Examination will be English, Hindi, and Gujarati. Students are requested to opt for this option at the time of filling the JEE Main 2022 Application form.

JEE Main Marking Scheme: Each question (answered correctly) is awarded 4 marks & 1 mark is deducted for every wrong answer. So there is a 1/4th negative marking in the JEE Main 2022 Examination. Also, partial marks will be given on the questions that have multiple right answers (in the case when not all the answers to that particular question is correct).
So the Total Marks for JEE Main 2022 Paper 1 Examination will be
= 4 (Marks for each question) *75 (Total Number of Questions)
= 300 Marks
JEE Main 2022 Exam Pattern - Paper 2

Courses Include -: JEE Main 2022 Paper 2 (B.Arch) will be conducted for those students who want to take admission into Architecture courses.

Subjects Included -: There are mainly three subjects included in Paper 2 – Mathematics, Aptitude Test, and Drawing Test.

Total Number of Questions -: 77 questions For the section B.Arch (Mathematics 20 questions, Aptitude 50 and Drawing 2), 100 for the section B.Planning (Mathematics 20 questions, Aptitude 50 and Planning 25)

Duration of Exam -: The Total Duration is for 3 Hours but for students with disabilities, the duration is of 4 Hours.
