Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is a first step in the form of an entrance examination taken in order to admit into various engineering colleges in India. It is a national standardized examination. This examination has two levels that are JEE Main and the JEE Advanced.
JEE Advanced is considered one of the most difficult undergraduate admission tests not just in India but even internationally. The JEE Advanced examination score is the basis for admission in many famous institutes such as Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs), Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology, and the Indian Institute of Science.

The test is taken to assess the basic engineering knowledge of the student. Since the exam has so much importance all the students around the world planning to build a career in the field of engineering wants to enrol for Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) to get into the best college possible.
Most of the students want to get into Indian Institute of Technology (IIT). The test is open to all the residents of India and also to all those who have Indian Passport. The students who fall under this category are Person of Indian Origin (PIO), Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs) and Non-Resident Indian (NRI).
Person of Indian Origin (PIO) is a method of providing a non-Indian resident is a given a 15-year visa but it has been discontinued. Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) is a method in which non-Indian citizens are given lifetime visa to live and work in India with a minimum amount of restrictions.
Non-Resident Indian (NRI) is a legal citizen of India living in another country. These students do not require any special quota, there are no special guidelines mentioned for them.
The only thing the candidates outside India required to appear for Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is a list of documents which makes them eligible and legal citizen of India. The qualifying documents are given as follows:
The final examination mark sheet of the 10+2 system, conducted by any recognized central/ state Board, such as Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi; Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi etc.
Also an Intermediate or two-year Pre-University examination mark sheet conducted by a recognized Board/ University or the Final examination mark sheet of the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defense Academy or a General Certificate Education (GCE) examination mark sheet (London / Cambridge / Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level even a certificate level from the Cambridge University of Examination of high school level or an International Baccalaureate Diploma certificate from the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva or H.S.C. vocational examination certificate will work.
One can also give Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling with a minimum of five subjects, A Diploma recognized by AICTE or a recognized state board of technical education of at least 3 year duration, from any Public School/Board/University examination in India or in any foreign country recognized as equivalent to the 10+2 system by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
Also, It is mandatory for students appearing for Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) to have an aadhar card. But for the students living abroad who don’t have aadhar card can apply by using their passport. There are many exam centres for Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) outside India.
There is a number of new towns and cities added to the list of exam centres abroad such as Colombo, Kathmandu, Singapore, Bahrain, Dubai, Muscat, Riyadh, Sharjah, and Qatar. The students abroad can opt for online registration facility to save both time and energy.
