One particular quota under the DASA (Direct Admission of Students Abroad) scheme is the CIWG (Children of Indian Workers in Gulf Countries) Scheme. It is intended to provide children of Indian expats employed in the Gulf nations who want to attend prestigious Indian technical schools entry advantages.

5% of the total DASA seats in participating institutions are reserved for CIWG candidates.

If CIWG seats remain vacant, they are converted into the DASA General category seats.

Must have completed Class 12 (or equivalent) with subjects Physics, Mathematics, and one additional subject (Chemistry/Biotechnology/Computer Science/Biology).

From session 2025-26 onwards, as updated by DASA on its official website, JEE Mains Rank will be made mandatory for NRI Students to be eligible for DASA Scheme & CIWG Scheme.
