Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) is an engineering entrance exam organized by the National Testing Agency. With good JEE Ranks, students take admissions in reputed engineering colleges in India. Electrostatics and Magnetism (Moderate difficulty):
This chapter deals with electricity and magnetism, electromagnetic induction, electric potential, etc., This stands third in the weight age table. It contributes 17 per cent to the total marks in JEE Physics. This covers a lot of conceptual aspects that are a bit difficult to understand. Mere subject knowledge can also help you score marks in this chapter. Particularly, the magnetism portion of this topic is easier to solve and understand. The problems are mostly directly asked without many complications and hence can be solved with moderate level difficulty.
Optics and Modern Physics (Easy):
Optics contributes about 17 per cent to the total score in physics. The topics covered in this also include radioactivity, nuclear reactions, De-Broglie effect etc. Conceptual questions are also asked here.The principles of light, wave optics are comparatively easy to understand and solve. With thorough practice, a candidate can crack these questions with absolute ease.
Heat and thermodynamics (Difficult):
Heat and thermodynamics deal mainly with energy production and release. The three topics under this are Thermal properties, Thermodynamics and the kinetic theory of gases. It has a weight age of about 9 per cent of the total scores in JEE Physics. Despite of having clear conceptual knowledge, applications & numerical questions turn out to be tough to solve. Hence considered a difficult topic in JEE Physics.

They must practice using various reference books but must tally it with previous years JEE papers & NCERT current year syllabus.
