KVPY Selection of Students
The KVPY exam is for those students studying from class XI to the first year of any undergraduate program in basic sciences. Special committees are set up to screen the applications and tests are conducted at different centers in the country.
To qualify for the KVPY exam, students will have to appear for an online test. This test aims to test the analytical ability and understanding of the students instead of the factual knowledge. Those students who qualify the online test are then called for the final round of face to face interviews.
To get the scholarship, marks of both the aptitude test and interview are considered. The aptitude test holds 75% weightage and the interview holds remaining weightage of 25%.
- Aptitude Test: An aptitude test is conducted in English and Hindi in the month of November each year.
- Interview: Shortlisted candidates are called for interview.
KVPY Result Declaration
The results of the online aptitude test are normally declared in the second fortnight of the month of December and the final results are declared in the second fortnight in the month of March.
