JEE is conducted every year for students to take admissions in Indian Engineering Colleges on the basis of JEE Ranks.

JEE Chemistry topics can be divided into three major categories namely organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, and physical chemistry.
Among the three branches, organic chemistry is considered to be the toughest. It involves various equations and reactions. The chemical reactions here vary according to the conditions that are applied.
According to the syllabus weightage, both organic and inorganic chemistry contribute equally. 35 percent of the questions are organic and 35 percent are inorganic. The remaining 30 percent is contributed from physical chemistry.
Organic Chemistry:
Organic chemistry has six main topics under it. It deals with the structure and nomenclature. it also includes isomerism.
This is the easiest of all organic chemistry chapters. The questions possible here are mostly theoretical. Hence it takes less than a few seconds for the candidates to answer questions from this topic.
The next three chapters in organic chemistry deal with the reaction of carbon with other elements. These are halides, oxygen-containing compounds, and Nitrogen-containing compounds. This is considered the toughest part of organic chemistry. Hence, it becomes difficult for the candidate to pick the right answer.
The next two chapters deal with bio-molecules and polymers which are simpler when compared to the core organic chemistry topics.
Inorganic chemistry deals with almost all the elements in the periodic table. It also involves a few conceptual and general questions that can be answered with just a browse through the NCERT books.
The first two chapters deal with the elements and bonds are easy and concept based. The next 3 chapters are a complete study of all the elements in the periodic table.
This includes Hydrogen and s block, p block elements, and d and f block elements. These are the core chapters in inorganic chemistry and are to be focused on.
The subtopics mainly deal with the properties of these elements and are easy to study with a comparison table and regular revision.
The last chapter is Co-Ordination compounds that mainly deal with complexes formed during reactions. This includes a few theories to be studied that will help the candidate solve the answers.
Physical Chemistry:
Physical chemistry contributes a bit less to the scores when compared to the other two categories. Physical chemistry is mostly conceptual and rarely involves problems that are difficult to solve.
This fetches more marks for the candidate. The first two chapters here are basic concepts and atomic structure. Next, states of matter and solution are the chapter in the discussion.
This is one of the easiest chapters to study when you prepare for JEE Chemistry. The next two chapters namely thermodynamics and equilibrium involve problems along with concepts.
Redox and electrochemistry are also problem-based just like thermodynamics and equilibrium.
The last two chapters namely surface chemistry and chemical kinetics. These two chapters are conceptual and are easy to deal with.
Chemistry is comparatively easy because with just a few concepts and equation solving techniques you can score. This comes with regular practice and some smart work. Brush up equations regularly. Take up a lot of mock papers to keep yourself prepared and ready to crack JEE.
