Joint Entrance Examination shortly referred to as JEE, is a single-window entrance test to India’s top engineering colleges. The three main subjects of importance in JEE are Physics, Maths, and Chemistry.

JEE syllabus includes properties of complex numbers, modulus and arguments of complex numbers, and various forms of complex numbers. Although the conceptual portion of this topic is relatively simple.
The application part is considered tough by a few students. This is why this chapter falls under one of the toughest topics.
Since the conceptual part is easy, students fail to give importance and work more on this topic which is yet another reason it becomes a tough part of the examination. Complex numbers contribute about 7 marks out of 120.
The student must be thorough with all the applicational aspects and methodologies of solving probability & statistics problems. This ability comes in only with a lot of practice. Statistics is also yet another difficult topic.

This belongs to one of the inevitable topics in the syllabus of JEE Maths. It has the highest weightage among all the topics. It contributes about 35% of the total 120 marks. Algebra can be mastered easily by practicing various types of questions.
Elimination of options can be adopted to solve these types of questions. There are a few questions in this chapter, whose solution runs to pages. By following a few tips and tricks, they can be guessed and solved easily. This helps the candidate to save a lot of time for the other topics and subjects as well.
Trigonometry is yet another topic that stands on par with Algebra. The weightage here is just 7% but students prefer solving these problems.
Trigonometry falls under the moderate category because of several formulas and methodologies. Conceptually, this is yet another easy topic for students to tackle.
Calculus
Integral and differential calculus, both are a part of the JEE Maths syllabus. Students usually fear these topics because it involves a lot of formulas and operations. But it contributes around 33% to the total. So, it is another bulk subject where the student can score more.
Only practice can help the students get through calculus. Thorough memorization of the formula and the ability to apply it right to the questions will help the candidate solve these problems with ease.
Coordinate Geometry
This involves circles, lines, 2D & 3D geometry. Here again, the candidates are expected to remember a few formulas. Along with the graphs & numerical, students can also encounter theoretical & derivation-based questions in geometry. It stands second with a weightage of 25%.

Sequence and series
With just a few formulas you will be able to solve the answer directly without much complication. A strong conceptual base is all you need to ace this topic. Sequence & series include progressions like arithmetic and geometric with formulas that are easily memorable.
With a thorough understanding of how the sequences are formed, students can tackle the problems easily.
Matrices
Matrices are the most loved and easiest topic. Though it involves a lot of steps, with concentration and a few basic operations, you can solve its questions easily.
But a lack of concentration or a silly mistake in any part may lead you to the wrong answer. You can master this topic by practicing a variety of such problems.
