The projected start date for MCC NEET UG 2025 counselling is July 2025. The NEET UG 2025 counselling, conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), is for admission to MBBS, BDS, and BSc Nursing programs under the 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats.
The NEET UG 2025 exam is scheduled for May 4, 2025, and the results are expected to be announced by June 14, 2025. Consequently, it is reasonable to expect that MCC NEET 2025 counselling will begin in July 2025, approximately a month after the results.
Depending on the number of vacant seats, MCC NEET UG 2025 counselling is expected to last for four to five months, with around six rounds, including stray vacancy rounds.
The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) oversees MCC NEET UG counselling. In 2025, MCC will conduct counselling for approximately 1,09,145 MBBS seats, 27,868 BDS seats, and around 1,000 BSc Nursing seats across various medical and dental colleges in India.
Admissions counseling for undergraduate programs including MBBS, BDS, and BSc Nursing is handled by MCC. The candidates’ results in the NEET test determine how the counseling procedure is carried out. The minimal qualifying score needed for admission to various MBBS, BDS, and nursing institutions is then determined by releasing a cutoff list.
The MCC counseling process is used to determine admission to MBBS, BDS, and BSc Nursing programs for seats reserved under the All India Quota (AIQ), institutional quota, or domicile (internal candidates) of Central Universities (Aligarh Muslim University, Banaras Hindu University, University of Delhi, Faculty of Dentistry, Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi), Employee State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), and Armed Forces Medical College, Pune. Admission has also completed for JIPMER and AIIMS.
The official schedule for NEET UG 2025 Counseling has not yet been made public by the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC). But according to past years’ schedules, the counseling procedure usually starts a few weeks after the NEET UG results are revealed. Candidates should expect the counseling procedure to start in late June or early July 2025, as the NEET UG 2025 test is planned for May 4, 2025, and results are expected by June 14, 2025.
