No. NEET is not conducted at any exam centre in the United States. A student living in the USA must travel to India or select one of the overseas examination cities made available by the National Testing Agency during registration.
The official NEET UG 2026 city list does not include the USA. It includes 14 examination cities outside India. No NEET examination city in the United States appears in the official NEET UG 2026 Information Bulletin. This applies to students living in California, Texas, New Jersey, New York, Illinois and every other U.S. state. A U.S. address, U.S. passport, OCI card or NRI status does not create a separate American test-centre option.
Do not wait for a U.S. city to appear later unless NTA issues a formal notice. Build the travel plan around the cities displayed in the application form for the active exam cycle.
The official bulletin does not give a specific reason for excluding the USA. It only publishes the authorised examination cities and explains how centres are allotted. Claims about low demand, permissions or operating cost should not be presented as official NTA reasons unless the agency confirms them.

Important correction: Jakarta is not listed as an overseas NEET UG 2026 examination city. Saudi Arabia is represented by Riyadh, while the UAE has Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.
There is no single best location for every family. India may work better when the student has relatives, a familiar place to stay and enough time to recover from the flight. An overseas city may be easier when it offers a simpler route and dependable accommodation. The decision should be based on confirmed logistics rather than assumptions about crowds or question difficulty.

The paper, marking scheme and evaluation do not become easier because a student appears outside India. Choose the location that reduces avoidable travel risk and allows the student to reach the venue rested and on time.
