To be eligible for the NEET exam, candidates must fulfill certain criteria:

Good news for those who finished their 10+2 exams with physics, chemistry, and math! Now, you can still become a doctor. You just need to pass a biology/biotechnology exam as an extra subject in 10+2, following the latest rules from the National Medical Commission (NMC).
If you added physics, chemistry, biology/biotechnology, and English after 10+2, you can now take the NEET-UG test. This lets you apply for MBBS and BDS courses in India.

NEET Eligibility Update by NTA regarding the subject

If you meet the criteria, you can also get an eligibility certificate. This certificate, given by the NMC, shows you’re allowed to study medicine abroad. This change is good news for more people who didn’t have biology/biotechnology in Classes XI-XII.
Before, you had to study physics, chemistry, and biology/biotechnology for two years in Classes XI and XII, with practical and English. This study had to be at a regular school, not online or as a private student. But now, the NMC changed this, giving more chances to those who want to study medicine but didn’t have biology/biotechnology in Classes XI-XII.
The NMC thought about this on June 14. They wanted to make it easier for more people to take the NEET-UG test and study medicine abroad. The new rules also match the flexibility in the National Education Policy (NEP), allowing more subjects in Class XII. So, if you dream of being a doctor, the rules just got better for you!
