About JEE Advanced
- IIT's are the most prestigious institutes in the country. IITs provide qualitative, technological and scientific education and research. They help the students to build a solid foundation of knowledge, develop personality, build confidence, inculcate pursuit of excellence and self-discipline through motivation and drive them to meet the challenges of their life and its now renowned by international communities. The IIT's are located at 23 locations in India.
- For admissions into IITs, an entrance exam named JEE Main and JEE Advanced is conducted by one of the 23 IITs. In 2013, AIEEE was replaced by JEE Mains & IIT-JEE was replaced with JEE Advanced.
- From 2019 onwards, these two JEEs (Joint Entrance Examination) are being conducted by NTA (for JEE Main) & one of the 23 IITs (for JEE Advanced). Only the NRIs and Indian students/aspirants who qualify JEE Mains are taken eligible for JEE Advanced Exams.
- JEE Advanced is the second stage of the Joint Entrance Examination, the common entrance exam for engineering admissions to the IITs, IIST, IISERs, ISM Dhanbad & other prestigious Technical Institutions. The conducting body is the Joint Admission Board and the organizing IIT is one of the 23 IITs every year. The counseling & seat allotment is carried out by JoSAA (Joint Seat Allotment Authority) for admission into various IITs.

The top 2,50,000 qualified students of JEE Main 2025 will be shortlisted to appear for JEE Advanced 2025 on May 25, 2025.
- Admissions to 23 IITs will be based only on category-wise All India Rank (AIR) in JEE-Advanced, provided such candidates are in the top 20 percentile of their respective boards.

Documents Needed For Reporting
Documents Required for Reporting After JEE Main 2025 Counselling
Candidates who qualify for JEE Main 2025 and secure a seat in JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) Counselling must report to their allotted institute with the following documents:
Mandatory Documents:
- JEE Main 2025 Admit Card
- JEE Main 2025 Scorecard
- Provisional Seat Allotment Letter (Issued after JoSAA counselling)
- Class 10 Mark Sheet & Certificate (For Date of Birth verification)
- Class 12 Mark Sheet & Certificate
- Category Certificate (if applicable) (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS) – Must be issued by a competent authority
- PwD Certificate (if applicable) – Issued by a registered medical authority
- Domicile Certificate (if required by the allotted institute)
- Migration Certificate (if required by the institute)
- Character Certificate (Issued by the last attended school/college)
- Identity Proof (Aadhaar Card/PAN Card/Passport)
- Passport-size Photographs (As per specifications mentioned in counselling guidelines)
Additional Documents (If Applicable):
- Income Certificate (for candidates applying under EWS or fee waiver schemes)
- Medical Certificate (as required by specific institutes)
- JEE Advanced 2025 Scorecard (for candidates who qualified for IITs)
Provisional Admission
- JEE Advanced 2025 Seat Allotment letter from JCOP portal
- Original Admit Card
- JEE Advanced 2025 Application Form as per Annexure 1 of Brochure (duly filled)
- Duly filled Medical Examination Report as per Annexure 2 of Brochure
- Proof of Date of Birth: Class X/HSC Birth Certificate/Any other certificate as proof of date of birth
- Class XII/SSC/equivalent exam Mark sheet and Certificate of passing
- Category Certificate (OBC (NCL)/ SC/ST/PwD/DS) issued by the competent authority as per the Brochure.
- For the foreign national candidates: attested photocopy of the page in the passport containing the name, photo and nationality
- Registration fees by Demand Draft for Rs. 60,000 (Rs. 20,000 for SCI ST) in favour of Organizing Chairman, JEE (Advanced)-2023, Payable at New Delhi.
Note: Amount paid will be adjusted towards fee paid at time of admission.
