The Direct Admission of Students Abroad scheme offers an admission channel to eligible foreign nationals, OCI/PIO candidates and NRI students to the participating NITs, IIITs, IIEST Shibpur, SPAs, other government funded technical institutes and certain other technical institutions.
DASA UG admission for 2026 is based on JEE Main 2026. DASA seats are supernumerary and may be provided up to 15% of the institute’s program-wise intake. IITs are not part of the DASA institute list.

The 2026 brochure allows qualifying-examination candidates awaiting results to apply subject to the prescribed undertaking and final-result deadline.

USA-based NRI candidates are generally associated with the DASA Non-SAARC category unless another category applies. Candidates eligible for both CIWG and Non-CIWG consideration may initially pay the Non-SAARC amount, with fee adjustment or refund if finally admitted under CIWG.
The DASA Enrolment Fee may not represent the complete cost of admission. Families should also check:
