The NIT Surathkal B.Tech fee depends upon the admission category. Domestic students (JoSAA/CSAB) have to pay approximately Rs. 62,500 per semester for tuition fees along with other institute fees. The SC/ST/PwD students can avail fee concession based upon government guidelines.

DASA-2027 will be coordinated by one of the NITs (as officially stated on the DASA portal). The conducting NIT for 2027 is yet to be confirmed, and the official DASA Brochure 2027 will be released shortly after the announcement. Admissions to undergraduate and postgraduate programs under the DASA scheme for 2027 will be based on JEE Main Score 2027, including for NRI students living in the USA and Middle East applying under CIWG/DASA quota.
Admission to NIT Surathkal through DASA is for NRIs, OCIs, PIs, and foreigners applying for B.Tech. Students should not assume DASA or CIWG benefits for their M.Tech program. The total fees, hostel fees, and admission criteria are entirely based on PG Admission at NIT Surathkal, which can be different each year.
There are some research program admissions at NIT Surathkal which are offered in only few departments as per the official notification. They are different from the conventional BTech and MTech program as there is an MS and PhD option available.
DASA & CIWG criteria are generally not applicable in these programs. Therefore, NRI/OCI/PIO candidates must go through the rules before applying to the program. Tuition fees may differ according to the department, category, and type of funding.
