Maharashtra Engineering Seats For NRIs:

Aspirants interested in pursuing their higher education at Maharashtra private engineering colleges are required to apply directly to the colleges with their Class 12 marks.

The Department of Higher and Technical Education has defined eligibility criteria for admission of NRI / OCI / PIO, Children of Indian Workers in Gulf Countries and Foreign Nationals.

Note: According to the latest update from DASA, from session 2021-22 onwards, JEE Mains Rank are mandatory for NRI/ PIO/ OCI/ FN Students to be eligible for DASA & CIWG Schemes. Hence, 2020-21 will be the last year when SAT 2 scores will be considered for engineering admissions under DASA/CIWG Scheme.

The applicant should have completed and passed their Higher Secondary or an equivalent examination with Mathematics and Physics as mandatory subjects. They should also have studied Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical or Vocational subjects. Candidates are required to apply directly to their preferred institutions.

Required Documents for NRIs Students-

These documents are mandatory to submit by NRI students to get admission in Maharashtra engineering colleges-

Basic Documents To Be Submitted By NRIs With The Application Form At The Institute:

• 10th grade or an equivalent examination marksheet of NRI candidate

• 12th grade or an equivalent examination marksheet of NRI candidate

• Migration Certificate of NRI aspirant

• School Leaving certificate of NRI aspirant

• Letter issued by employer of the NRI Parent/ Guardians/ Sponsor

• Scanned copy of Passport of the NRI student & Parent / Guardian/ Sponsor including visa pages/ work permit

• Letter from the branch manager of the branch which has the NRE / NRO account of the parent / guardian / sponsor paying the fee. Letter from the branch manager of the foreign bank if the candidate has a foreign bank account.

• Two Passport size photograph of NRI candidate

• Letter signed by NRI parent/ guardian/ sponsor mentioning educational sponsorship.

• Provisional Eligibility certificate from the University of Mumbai (only if the board of 12th or equivalent is OTHER THAN CBSE/ ICSE/ Maharashtra state board)

• NOC from the University of Mumbai (applicable to Foreign Nationals / PIO)

Additional Documents To Be Submitted By NRIs Candidates:

Proof of NRI status,Letter from the Indian Embassy, where parent(s) is/ are working, indicating the NRI status of the parent.

Fee Structure of Engineering Colleges for NRIs:

Mentioned below the annual fee payable by NRI students who are admitted to a four-year degree course in the Engineering stream:

• Tuition Fee: USD 3000

• Development Fee: USD 1000

• Other Fees: Rs 5600

• Total Fee Yearly: USD 4000 + Rs 5600

Every student of the NRI has to pay a fee of Rs 15,000/-during the time of application by Demand Draft.

The following is the annual fee structure payable to students in the exclusive category of' Children of Indian Workers in the Gulf Countries,' which is a special NRI quota for students who have obtained a four-year degree in engineering.

• Tuition Fee: USD 1500

• Development Fee: USD 500

• Other Fees: Rs 4000

• Total Fees per year: USD 2000 + Rs 4000
