JEE Main Paper 1 Question Types

JEE Paper 1 is given for taking admission in B.Tech/B.E, and pattern for this paper is almost the same every year.
There are total 75 questions that are asked from three subjects Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics and maximum marks for this section is 300.

Some Important Points for JEE Main Exam Paper 1
1. Subjects for Paper-1 Parts: Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
2. In total, there will be 75 Number of Questions 25 questions from every section.
3. The test will be conducted online through Computer Based Test Mode
4. The total duration of the exam is 3hours, and the candidates who are having 40% disability will be given 4hours to complete the exam.
5. All correct questions in this section carry four marks.
6. The exam will be conducted in two languages, i.e. Hindi and English. Exam centres in Dadar & Diu, Gujarat and Dadra & Nagar Haveli have the option to get their exam in the Gujarati Language.
7. MCQs which are answered incorrectly will lead to deduction of 1 mark from your marks. Whereas there will be no deduction of marks if numeric value question is answered incorrectly.
Rest there will be no deduction marks if the question is left unanswered.

Subjects for Paper-2 Parts: Mathematics, Aptitude and Drawing.
1. This JEE Main Exam Paper 2 is organized in both Paper-Pen mode and Computer Based Test. Online questions are objective, and drawing Questions needs to be sketched offline.
2. In total there will be 77 Number of Questions. 25 from Mathematics, 50 from Aptitude and two from Drawing.
3. The total duration of the exam is 3hours and the candidates
4. All correct questions in this section carry four marks.

JEE Paper 3 is conducted for getting admission in B.Planning courses. Earlier Paper 2 is conducted for both B.Architecture and B.planning courses.
But there are some important changes which are made by JEE in this section.

Some Important Points for JEE Advanced
1. Subjects for JEE Advanced are Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
2. Total numbers of questions are not fixed for JEE Advanced as every year there is some surprise element.
3. The test will be conducted online through Computer Based Test Mode
4. The total duration of the exam is 3hours, and the candidates who are having 40% disability will be given 4hours to complete the exam.
5. All correct questions in this section carry four marks.
6. The exam will be conducted in two languages, i.e. Hindi and English.
7. There is a difference in negative marking also; in some sections, for an incorrect answer, one mark is deducted whereas in some sections two marks are deducted.
8. Rest there will be no deduction marks if a question is left unanswered.

Answer2 : 360 JEE Main Exam Pattern : Questions per subject It consists of 75 questions. The maximum marks are 360. The examination is divided into 3 sections viz. Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, having 25 questions each.
Answer 3 : The question paper consists of three parts: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. There are MCQs and numerical answer type questions which candidates have to attempt.
Answer 4 : As per the marking scheme of JEE Main, for MCQ questions, candidates are allotted 4 marks for each correct answer and there is a negative marking of 1 marks for each incorrect answer. In case of answers with numerical values, candidates are allotted 4 marks for each correct answer and there is no negative marking for incorrect answers.
Answer 5 :Integer type questions are the same as Numerical value type questions
Answer 6: Like MCQs, Numerical value based questions will fetch 4 marks for every correct response. However, there will be no negative marking for incorrect responses in such cases.
Answer 7: No calculator will be allowed to carry at the exam center and there will not be any online calculator. All of the calculations have to be done on the rough sheet.
