It’s a dream for almost all NRIs to on-board the top-tier Govt college of engineerings like IIT, NITs, and CFTIs in India. It seems easy to get admission in India, but indeed admitting to the top-tier engineering colleges isn’t a cakewalk. NRI students have to work pretty hard to get admission to such colleges.
These government engineering colleges for NRIs in India might be useful for you if you fail to get admission in IITs (via JEE) and NITs (via DASA). Indeed, most NRIs aren’t keen about government colleges, but by acknowledging an economical fee it would be good to have a list of government colleges to back you up.
Note: According to the latest update from DASA, from 2021 onwards, JEE Scores will be made mandatory for NRI/PIO/OCI students to be eligible for DASA & CIWG Schemes. Hence, 2020 will be the last year when SAT 2 scores will be considered for DASA/CIWG Scheme.
