Then, it’s time to check if you’re eligible to DASA or not.
DASA 2022: Eligibility
You need to meet all Age, Academic and Residence qualifications to apply to the DASA scheme.

You should born on/after October 1, 1995. |
Academics |
You should have finished 11th and 12th grade with Mathematics, Physics and any one of the subjects among Chemistry, Bio-Technology, Computer Science and Biology with 60% aggregate or 6.5 CGPA. |
Recently You send your SAT Math II, SAT Physics and SAT Chemistry tests scores to the MNNIT, Allahabad via College Board account on/before the registration deadline of DASA scheme. But now you should send your JEE Main Score via NTA Account before the registration deadline of DASA |

NRIs who appeared for 12th grade exams in 2021-22 academic year, can also apply if they are expecting result by September 15, 2022. |

Residential |
You must have studied your 11th and 12th grade abroad. |
If you’re a CIWG applicant, you must submit residential and parent’s job documents to avail the fee concession under CIWG scheme.
The list of documents a CIWG applicant should submit is as follows:
- Parent’s passport copy
- Parent’s visa copy
- Parent’s work permit copy (if any)
- Certificate from the parent’s company as a proof (as per Appendix III of UG brochure)
Note: NRI candidates who are eligible to CIWG can also choose admission in DASA scheme. To avail the admission in both CIWG and DASA streams, you have to pay the tuition fee as per DASA (Non-SAARC stream). That is, you’ve to pay 4300 USD during the registration.
If you get admission under CIWG scheme later, your fee will be refunded later.

DASA 2022: Fee Structure
DASA Fee Structure is categorized into three admission streams. They are:
1. DASA (Non-SAARC)
2. DASA (SAARC)
3. CIWG
Let’s check each category registration fee and tuition fee in detail.
DASA (Non-SAARC): NRIs all over the world apart from the SAARC and CIWG countries do fall into this DASA (Non-SAARC) admission stream.
The fee you’ll be paying under DASA (Non-SAARC) scheme would be $4000 a semester.
DASA (SAARC): NRIs from the SAARC countries do fall into the DASA (SAARC) admission stream.
The fee you’ll be paying under DASA (SAARC) scheme would be $2000 a semester.
CIWG: NRIs from the CIWG countries do fall into the CIWG admission stream.
The fee you’ll be paying under CIWG stream will be Rs. 62500/- a semester.

Note: The JEE Main scores of 3 subjects must be submitted before the registration deadline. Otherwise, you won’t be eligible to get into the first 3 rounds of counseling. That is, you likely lose admission in your prospective colleges and programs.

DASA Registration Process
The entire DASA registration process is done in 4 easy steps. Let us dive into the details step-by-step:
Step 1: Create an account on DASA Website
Create an account at https://www.dasanit.org/ by filling the following details.
- Email (A valid web link will be sent to your email). You’ll get a username and an applicant id there.
- Captcha Words (In the space filled to confirm you aren’t a robot).
- Once you enter the valid details, hit create my account.
- An email will be sent to the applicant’s email address to complete the registration.
- Enter the Applicant Id (Received in the email)
- Enter a password (Alphanumeric one)
- Re-enter and Confirm password
- Once the details are filled the registration is completed.
You should save the Applicant Id and Password for future logins. And also don’t reveal your password to anybody.
Step 2: Fill Up the Application Form
Once the account is created, candidates will have to submit their personal and academic information in the online application form of DASA 2022 using the registered email id and password. Applicants can enter any number of institutes or courses they would like to join now. Then applicants need to apply the following in the step by step sequence just as shown.

- Residential Eligibility
- Citizenship
- The Country in which 11th or 12th standard is completed
- Name of the Parent/Guardian Relationship with applicants

Once you enter the Personal Details, Scanned documents, it’s time to enter passport details and academic qualification details and pay the fees
Step 3: Submit the Application Form
The other relevant documents are the Passport, Proof of Date of Birth, Proof of Completion of 10th, 11th, 12th standard or equivalent, Proof of fee payment in case of payment of SWIFT transfer.

Enter all these details in the application form and pay the fee before submission.
Step 4: Pay the Fees
DASA fees can be paid in two methods – SWIFT Transfer or E-Payment. The candidates also have to pay the first-semester tuition fee along with the registration fee. E-Payment can be done using the credit and debit cards. A transaction Id will be generated after the successful transaction.
If the candidates are unable to get admission or withdraw the application, then his/her semester tuition fee will be refunded after the DASA registration process is done. Candidate needs to submit all the bank details to get the refund amount.

Note: You’ve to fill up the refund form online after finishing the entire DASA admission process. You’ll find that form on DASA website in August.

DASA 2022: Refund Policy
NITK Surathkal looks into the refund policy once the entire registration process of DASA is done.
DASA refund policy is quite different.
DASA offers full refund if you withdraw your application on/before June 11 (the registration deadline)
DASA offers 50% refund if you withdraw your application after June 11 (the registration deadline)
DASA offers no refund if you accept your seat and change your decision later.
