College of Engineering Pune is a reputed technical education institution affiliated with Savitribai Phule Pune University. COEP has several courses available and various specializations spanning across multiple disciplines. 

The disciplines include- Applied Science, Institute of Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Leadership, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering & IT, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy and Materials Science, Manufacturing Engineering and Industrial Management, Mathematics, and Physics.

Courses Available at College of Engineering Pune

COEP currently houses over 700 undergraduate students and post-graduate 300 students over various departments. It has 10 courses at the Post-graduate level of education and 22 at the undergraduate level.

Apart from technical degrees, COEP offers a Masters in Business Administration and other Post-graduate diplomas such as PGDERP, PGAM and Post Graduate Diploma in Data Science.

COEP was ranked 6th in top engineering colleges in Maharashtra by Times 2020. It is only fair to say that the institution is one of the prestigious engineering institutes in the country as many companies like Bajaj Auto, Barclays, Sun Pharma and Avaya. The highest package offered was 33.8 LPA in 2019.

B. Tech

B. Tech is a four-year undergraduate degree that is an amalgamation of theoretical as well as skill-based knowledge.

COEP offers a plethora of options for B.Tech aspirants. All the necessary details regarding the admission process including specialized courses are specified below.

Admission Process:

1. The standard admission process rule applied in COEP too. Students must pass 10+2 examinations with Physics and Mathematics as mandatory subjects. Additionally, students must opt for chemistry and biology as their electives.

2. Students must appear for the MHT-CET.

M. Tech

M. Tech is a Master in Technology degree that combines conceptualized aided learning as well as research.

It is followed up after the four years B. Tech course. COEP offers a range of Masters programmes in the sphere of Technical Education. All the necessary details regarding the admission process and specialized courses are mentioned below.

Admission Process –

1. A student is eligible for an M.Tech degree if they hold a B.Tech degree or an equivalent Bachelor’s degree from any recognized institution.

2. The student must appear for GATE which stands for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering. Usually, a good GATE score is a determining factor in procuring an admission in any recognized institution.

Eligibility Criteria to get Admission into UG/PG programs at College of Engineering Pune –

1. Undergraduate Level –

   1. The student must have obtained a minimum of 45 per cent in 10 + 2 with physics and mathematics as compulsory subjects. Additionally, chemistry and biology must be opted for as electives.
   2. The student must appear for MHT-CET with a non zero score. MHT-CET scores are crucial in securing a seat. The MH – CET cut off in 2019 was 172/100.
2. Postgraduate Level –
   1. The student must hold a degree in B.Tech or an equally relevant Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institute.
   2. The student must appear for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering as COEP acknowledges these scores.
