Analysis of JEE Main 2016 – Paper – 1

The pen and paper mode of JEE Main test was conducted from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM across 2000 centres in 129 cities in India and abroad.

This year paper was balanced. Out of 90 questions given as many as 42 were from grade 11 and 48 were from grade 12 syllabus.
It was observed that Physics paper was exhaustive , but Math and Chemistry papers were easy. Some of the difficult topics in Physics includes SHM, Modern Physics, Work Power and Energy and Heat & Thermodynamics.

Difficulty Level Analysis

In Chemistry, Physics Chemistry took 40% of questions, whereas, Inorganic and Organic took 33% and 27% respectively.
In Math, the topics covered were Area, Hyperbola, Circles, Logs and progressions.
