Admission in IISc & RGIPT through JEE Ranks
School Students in India with science background are always seen competing for admissions in IITs & few other well-versed Engineering Institutes of India. With IITs & NITs, IISc & RGIPT being such reputed engineering Institutes, the students residing abroad have also joined this race. Especially the NRI, PIO, OCI Students who have to face really tough competition with the Indian Students (for JEE Mains & Advanced) in order to take admissions in these colleges.
For Indian or NRI or even Foreign Candidates who clear the JEE Advanced (an engineering entrance exam), their first option is to try for seats in IITs. The next option of colleges in India that accept JEE Advanced Rank for admissions are the IISERs, IIST, IISc, RGIPT. These are well recognized engineering Institutes of India & every year, only a limited number of students with good JEE Advanced Rank get selected in these. In this article, we will elaborate about admissions in IISc & RGIPT.
Speaking of students abroad, the NRI, PIO, OCI Students there is no quota to take admissions in IISc & RGIPT hence they must score well in their JEE Advanced exam. If they are not able to clear JEE Advanced, they can take admissions in NITs, IIITs, CFIs & SPAs through general quota or even through NRI Quota under DASA / CIWG Scheme. These colleges are also counted amongst the top engg colleges in India & internationally as well.
