Insatiable knowledge is a virtue, especially for students. The IB (International Laurette) programme is all about acquiring knowledge. To an ordinary man the question about knowledge is too general and simple, only when we dive deep into it, we understand the meaning of knowledge. Theory of Knowledge (TOK), is a core requirement for you to get your International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme (DP). It is an assignment given to introduce you to the world of curiosity and encourages students to question the principle of what do we know? and how did we come to that conclusion? The establishment of certain arguments in the IB scenario is required as IB is based on analytical skills as compared to other educational systems. No mugging up of the syllabus is going to help in getting good scores.
The reasoning skill is also in IB scenario besides analytical thinking’. Interestingly the PEE (Point Evidence Explanation) or SEX (Statement Evidence explanation) is popular. In logic, it is referred as deductive reasoning.

TOK is assessed has two parts based on which it is assessed, Namely:
33% Internal Assessment (Oral presentation ) + 67% External Assessment (1600 words Essay )
The assessment usually takes place towards the end of the course.
A 10-minute original presentation can be performed by an individual or a group with up to three group members. The presentation itself can take many forms, such as lectures, interviews or debates. You can use multimedia such as costumes, props or characters.
The live presentation must not be pre-recorded and cannot be a recitation.

A real-life situation is projected as a problem in IB in the ToK session. The student shall have to analyse, think and give a convincing answer. The question may sound trivial or naïve but can go to the much-complicated structure. In spite of the difficulty level, the students are expected to give arguments with claims and counterclaims.
The methodology employed by you in the presentation has to be like a verbal essay. The focus should be having a
1. Choose a topic which is current.
2. Try to avoid a controversial topic.
3. Choose one where you are reasonably strong
4. Choose one where you are confident of putting across your:
A sort of litmus test to find the viability of your topic for IB ToK can be based on the convincing answer to following
– The possibility of projecting of a real-life example
– The possibility of explaining the knowledge base
