For this subject, you need to be proficient at reading because you need to read A LOT of material/Books and write numerous pages of analysis of every topic which can get quite hectic. You need to memorize a lot of information and facts. Your analytical and critical thinking needs to be on point. More often than not students who find this subject difficult are not interested in this subject and consider it to be a filler. They don’t invest the time and effort required and then have to play catch up. It is very difficult to score a 7 so choose wisely and take it seriously.

4. Group: Sciences

Physics HL (5.29)

While the mathematics part of Physics HL is relatively easy, the significant number of concepts and knowledge of the topics are very difficult to grasp. The very foundation of the topics needs to be strong before going in deeper. Students are required to remember a lot of formulas and integration of concepts like trigonometry & algebra in various topics can get extremely hard to manage. It’s not just about learning the information but to apply it properly.

Chemistry HL (4.92)

Chemistry HL considered to be difficult due to the amount of information students have to learn. There are around 21 topics (HL includes SL syllabus and 10 more additional topics) which are mentioned in detail on our website.

Further Math (5.19)

While this subject is rarely chosen by any student, it is by far the most challenging out the list. It is a course that serves for students with a very strong mathematical background and intend to study this subject in the universities. It is far more technical and analytical in comparison to Math HL. The question style is very different and the scope is much wider.

As of May 2020, Further Math has been discontinued from IB curriculum.

6. Group: The Arts
