The criteria for admission remains the same for B.Tech program specialization courses, wherein the steps are as follows:

1. Appear for the JEE Main examination on fulfilling the eligibility criteria.
2. Cut-off is released based on the category and the JEE Main score, and the students who qualify abscess the cut-off, can apply for JoSAA counseling for the final seat allotment.
3. Filling up the application form for JoSAA, students get the option to opt for their preferred courses.
4. At the time of the couinseling, students are evaluated based on their score, category, academic performance and the seat availability.
5. On being selected, the documentation and the fee deposit completed the admission process.

Admission criteria in NIT Srinagar for NRIs:

In NIT NRI Applications are invited in NIT Srinagar. Students who all are willing to take admission in this NIT, they have to clear JEE Mains. 

Students have to score 60% and above on their 10+2 in Maths, Chemistry, and Physics to get admission to NIT Srinagar.
