Admission
The National Institute of Technology (NIT) in Uttarakhand provides a B.Tech degree in five different specialities. Candidates applying for B.Tech courses must have a minimum of 75% in HSC or be in the top 20%ile in the respective boards' 10+2 exam.
Candidates are chosen for the B.Tech programme based on their performance in the JEE Main exam. The ultimate admission is based on the All India Rank (AIR) calculated by JoSAA using JEE Main scores and normalised Class 12th or equivalent qualifying exam scores (60 percent & 40 percent preference, respectively).

Admission criteria in NIT Uttarakhand for NRIs
In NIT NRI Applications are invited in NIT Uttarakhand. Students who all are willing to take admission in this NIT, they have to clear JEE Mains. Students have to score 60% and above on their 10+2 in Maths, Chemistry, and Physics to get admission to NIT Uttarakhand.
