JNTUH College of Engineering (JNTUHCEM, Manthani)

The JNTUH College of Engineering Manthani was established in the year 2010 as a Constituent College of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad, vide G.O. Ms. No. 21, Higher Education (E.C.I) Department dated 25.03.2010 to provide Engineering Education to the rural youth of certain backward areas of Adilabad, Karimnagar, Nizamabad and Warangal of Telagana State.

JNTUH College of Engineering Manthani started functioning with five Undergraduate Programs viz., Civil Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, and Mining Engineering. Students take admissions to UG programs through EAMCET. The total number of student’s intake per annum is 284, out of these 4 branches, Civil Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science & Engineering each branch has an intake of 60 students and Mining Engineering has an intake of 30 students and added to this 5% quota i.e 3 students in CE, EEE, ME and CSE and 2 students in Mining branch are selected through Singareni Admission as part of supernumerary quota.

The total sanctioned intake for UG program in all 5 branches is 1217. About 90 -95% students reside in the campus hostels. A high percentage of girls almost equal to boys take admissions in the college as well as reside in the hostels.

The college is having well equipped, state of the art laboratories in all the departments, about 180 CC cameras for security, Biometric entry/exit system for hostel students, one male and one female well qualified doctors are available in the dispensary, about 50 security staff is working in the campus. The auditorium has a capacity of 250 seats, open auditorium, RO drinking water system and supply from Mission Bhagiratha, Ambulance, SBI Bank Service Point, Sports grounds, street lights, Gym in hostels, and a 24x7 computer Lab.

This College has been supported by M/s. Singareni Collieries Company Limited for infrastructural development. As a social obligation, the University has permitted to provide 5% supernumerary seats in each discipline to the children’s of the employees of the M/s. Singareni Collieries Company Limited.

Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad, was established on 2nd October 1972 by the Legislature of the State of Andhra Pradesh as the first Technological University in the country. It has been in the forefront for the past 44 years in providing quality technological education in the State of Telangana. After 36 years of existence it was restructured into 4 different Universities by the Government vide Government Ordinance No.13, dated 18th August 2008 and Act of State Legislature No.30 dated September 2008 and this new University has been designated as Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH).

JNTUH Campus occupied in 89 Acres of land situated at Kukatpally, Hyderabad. It has now 4 Constituent Engineering Colleges are located at Hyderabad, Nachupally (Kondagattu)Dist.Jagtial, Manthani and Sultanpur (Medak dist.) and 15 other constituent units on Hyderabad campus. JNTUH offers B.Tech. programmes in 24 disciplines and B.Pharm at UG level; Integrated 5-year dual degree Masters programme; M.Tech. Programmes in 68 disciplines, M.Pharm. in 11 disciplines; M.Sc. in 10 disciplines; MCA, MBA and Double Degree Programmes at P.G. level; in addition to the offer of M.S., M.Phil., and Ph.D. Research Programmes in various disciplines of Engineering, Technology, Science, Management and Humanities. JNTUH has 423 affiliated colleges spread over the Telangana State. JNTUH has more than 3.50 lakhs of students on rolls. The University has Memoranda of University with many national and international organizations.
