The following are the general admission requirements for international students applying to Georgia Tech for the 2023-2024 academic year:

  • Academic record: A strong academic record from a high school or college that is accredited by an internationally recognized organization.
  • English proficiency: A minimum TOEFL score of 100 or IELTS score of 7.0.

Georgia Institute of Technology Scholarship

Scholarships are types of aid that do not require repayment. They come from many sources and can be based on criteria that includes, but not limited to academic achievement, athletic ability, geographical location, departmental and community involvement, areas of study, and/or financial need, as well as other factors.

Georgia Tech is proud to offer awards from more than 850 institutional named scholarships. Institutional scholarships are awarded by Georgia Tech to help offset a student's costs to attend the Institution.

When you complete the financial aid application process at Tech, you are automatically considered for all scholarships and grants. Criteria for these scholarships vary. The Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid will match candidates from the overall pool of financial aid applicants.

The amount of the scholarship will vary and may be renewable or one-time awards. Students should apply each year to be considered for scholarships.

Generally, entering first-year students are limited to receiving institutional scholarships for the first eight (8) terms of full-time enrollment. During an academic year, scholarships are generally awarded for two (2) semesters (Fall, Spring, or Summer). A transfer student's term-limit eligibility will be determined on an individual basis depending upon hours transferred.
