Admission Process for Charles University:
Admission with Entrance Test:
Entrance test consists of two parts –
- First one incorporates a Multiple Choice test – 30 questions for Chemistry and 30 for Biology. You need to choose third test between Physics and Mathematics.
- The second part is composed of an interview with interpretation of an unfamiliar section of a scientific article and conversation focused on motivation and general knowledge of the student.
Admission without Entrance Test:
A maximum of 25 applicants may be admitted without an entrance examination.
- A-Level examination results – Physics or Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology: Minimum results A, A, B.
Or
- Results of International Baccalaureate (IB) in Area 4 (Experimental Sciences) with Chemistry, Biology and Physics or Mathematics, all in Higher Level:
Total – minimum sum of points from the given 3 subjects: 19
Or
- Results of a comparable examination (e.g. SAT) in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics or Physics:
Overall minimum SAT score: 85 percentile or Students with minimum SAT score of 2100 are eligible to apply
Or
a) Grade average during studies (applicants attending secondary education in Germany):
Grade average during the whole period of study: better than 1.30.
b) An applicant for study that wishes to be accepted into the first section of study (first year) without an entrance examination is required to submit an application form for the remission of the entrance examination together with an application form for study to the Study Division of the Faculty to the March 15, 2018
c) An order of applicants will be drafted based on the criteria above and study grade averages. A maximum of 25 applicants may be admitted without an entrance examination.

The tuition fee covers the period from September 2018 to June 2019 and has to be paid by October 31, 2018.

- Birth Certificate
- Health Insurance that covers not only emergency hospital visits, but also other outpatient medical expenses such as vaccinations, routine hospital visits, blood test and forth. Suggestions – UNIQA or VZP.
