DASA-2025 will be conducted by NIT Warangal. This is officially announced on the DASA Website. So, the host NIT Warangal has released the DASA Brochure 2025 as well.

The admissions to various undergraduate and post-graduate programs of premier institutes in India under the DASA Scheme would be made by the JEE Main Score 2025.

Step 1: Registration Process

Here’s a list of steps that an applicant needs to follow to get registered successfully.

Create an account at https://www.dasanit.org/ by filling the following details.

Email (A valid web link will be sent to your email). It will be your username.
Captcha Words (In the space filled to confirm you aren’t a robot).
The moment valid details are entered, hit 'Create my account'.
An email will be sent to the applicant’s email address to complete the registration.
Enter the Applicant Id (Received in the email)
Enter a password (Alphanumeric one)
Confirm password
Once the details are filled, the registration is completed.

You should note the Applicant Id and Password for future logins. And also don’t reveal your password to anybody.

Step 2: Application Form Filling

In this step, candidates will have to submit their personal and academic information in the online application form of DASA 2025 using the registered email id and password. Applicants can enter any number of institutes or courses they would like to join now.

Then applicants need to apply the following in the step-by-step sequence just as shown.

Step 3: Submission of the Details

The other relevant documents are the passport, Proof of Date of Birth, Proof of Completion of 10th, 11th, 12th standard or equivalent, Proof of fee payment in case of payment of SWIFT transfer.

Step 4: Payment of the Application Fees

The application fees can be paid in two methods – SWIFT Transfer or E-Payment. The candidates will also have to pay the first-semester tuition fee along with the application fee. E-Payment can be done using the credit and debit cards. A transaction Id will be generated after the successful transaction.

Application Fee of the DASA 2024:

General student’s application fee is US$4300 [$4000 (First Semester Fee) + $300 (Registration Fee)].
Students belonging to SAARC is US$2500 [$2000 (First Semester Fee) + $300 (Registration Fee)].

If the candidates are unable to get admission or withdraw the application, then his/her semester tuition fee will be refunded. Candidate needs to submit all the bank details to get the refund amount.

DASA / CIWG & JEE FAQ 2025-26

Question 1: Will DASA Scheme be available in 2025?

Answer: Yes, DASA Scheme as well as its subset (the CIWG Scheme) will be available for admissions in the academic year 2025-26.

By applying under these scheme, students can take admissions in NITs, IIITs, CFIs & SPAs. The only difference from 2025 is that JEE Main Rank will be considered valid, not SAT 2.

Question 2: Will SAT 2 be valid in 2024 for admission under DASA Scheme?

Answer: No. As notified on the official website of DASA, SAT 2 Scores or SAT Subject Scores will no longer be valid from 2024 onwards to take admissions under DASA & CIWG Scheme.

Question 3: What is the benefit of JEE over SAT Subject Test for DASA / CIWG 2025?

Answer: The benefit with JEE is that the students who happen to be eligible for JEE Advanced (decided on the basis of JEE Main Results), can take JEE Advanced Exams to try for admissions in IITs, the most premier engineering Institute in India.

The same wasn’t possible with SAT 2 because IITs dont intake students on the basis of SAT 2 Scores. If students can’t clear JEE Advanced, they can still take admissions in NITs, IIITs, CFIs & SPAs on the basis of JEE Main Rank.

Question 4: What is the eligibility criteria for NRI, PIO, OCI candidates under DASA / CIWG 2025?

The eligibility criteria for DASA 2025 & CIWG 2025 will remain the same as it is for 2020 or 2019. There are no changes in the eligibility criteria yet announced officially by DASA. Visit here, to check your DASA Eligibility.

Question 5: Students of which grade are eligible to take JEE Main exam for applying under DASA 2025?

Answer: NRI, PIO, OCI Students who are in grade 11th (in 2019) and will be appearing for grade 12th final exams in 2025, are eligible for JEE 2021 to apply under the DASA 2021.

If you are in grade 12th (in 2019), you must be appearing for grade 12th final exams in 2020. Hence you will be giving SAT 2 for applying under DASA 2020.

If in case you wish to take an year extra just for exam preparation, then the year will be 2025 & hence you will have to take JEE Main to apply under DASA 2021.

Question 6: Is ‘JEE Mandatory from DASA 2025 onwards’ a final & official circular?

Answer: Because DASA released this notification on 4th of April on its official website (https://dasanit.org/). There are 100% chance that this notification is a final one.

No detailed circular has been released as of now but as soon as any such updates arrive, you can find them on our website.

Question 7: Can government withdraw the changes made for DASA 2025?

Answer: This is completely unpredictable. But there seems to be less chance that it will be withdrawn. The NRI, PIO, OCI Students who wish to apply for DASA / CIWG 2025 (& years after 2021) must start preparing for JEE Main.

Question 8: Is there any change in the qualifying exam criteria also for DASA 2025-26?

Answer: No changes have been made in the qualifying exam criteria for DASA 2025. Students must have a minimum of 60%, or equivalent, in Grade 12 Exams (of their respective boards) & must have successfully completed Maths, Physics and one of the subjects from (Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science, Biology) in Grade 11th & 12th.

Question 9: How should NRI Students prepare for JEE to apply under DASA / CIWG Scheme for 2025?

Answer: The applicants must be thoroughly aware of the syllabus & pattern i.e. revolving around the NCERT textbooks for class 11th & 12th.

This is because JEE Syllabus is based on the NCERT Text books. The students must also practice using various reference books /online test series/ JEE coaching online/ mock tests/ previous years papers in order to crack JEE 2025 for applying under DASA 2025 or CIWG 2025.

Question 10: What will be the JEE Rank cutoff for engineering admissions under DASA / CIWG 2025 Scheme?

Answer: The JEE cutoff varies every year because of the percentile system. Hence, the exact cut off cannot be mentioned. Every year, JEE cutoff is announced at the time of JEE Result Declaration & it is valid only for that particular year.

Question 11: Do NRI Students need coaching to clear JEE Main for admissions under DASA / CIWG 2025?

Answer: Based on the tough competition students have in India, it is very necessary for students to make extra efforts to clear JEE Main or Advanced. In India, when science students enter grade 11th, they take up tuitions or coaching to help them prepare for JEE Main.

Because the JEE Syllabus is based on NCERT Textbooks which are used in Grade 11th & 12th, it also helps them prepare for their school exams / board exams. Ideally, 2 years of JEE preparation (coaching, previous 40 years questions practice, test series) is needed for students who want to clear JEE Main.

Hence, it is highly recommended for NRI , PIO, OCI Students to take JEE Coaching if they wish to secure a seat in NITs, IIITs, CFIs or SPAs under DASA / CIWG Scheme 2024.

Question 13: How to submit JEE Rank on DASA Website for admissions in NITs, CFTIs?

Answer: Observing this pattern of how DASA has been allowing NRI Students to submit their SAT 2 scores through their college board account, there are high chances that from session 2025-26 onwards, NRI Students might be made to submit their JEE Main Rank to DASA through their JEE Main account.
