VCE BTech Minimum Eligibility
The candidate must have passed the Intermediate (10 + 2) administered by the Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education or an equivalent examination, with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as optional subjects, in order to be considered for admission to the first year of the four-year BTech programs offered by VCE.Up to 20% of the intake, determined by performance in the ECET, are accepted as Diploma holders in the second year of the four-year BTech program under the lateral entry plan.
VCE BTech Admission and Selection Process
The Telagana State government administers the EAMCET, a common entrance exam, for admission to the BTech program. The AP State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) administers the Engineering, Agriculture, and Medical Common Entrance Test (APEAMCET), a national entrance exam that serves as a gateway for admission to a variety of undergraduate professional courses offered at various universities and private colleges throughout the state of Andhra Pradesh/Telangana.
Based on their EAMCET score, merit-based candidates receive 70% of the available seats.
There is a 30% management quota on the seats. Furthermore, under the lateral entry plan, diploma holders are allowed into the second year of the BTech program up to a 20% intake depending on their performance in the ECET.
The online counseling procedure and the written EAMCET exam serve as the foundation for the selection process.

Admissions into the Vardhaman College of Engineering are done through a common entrance test Convenor, EAMCET which is conducted by the Govt. of Telangana.
The admission paradigm to B.Tech is 12 years of minimum education, from any board of education which is recognized by Govt of India..
Admission Categories
1. B.Tech:
- a. Category-A: 70% of seats are allotted for merit students based on their rank attained in EAMCET.
- b. Category-B: 30 % of the seats are earmarked for other candidates.
- c. B.Tech Lateral Entry: 10% of total sanctioned intake is allotted for diploma holders through ECET into 2nd year B. Tech programme
2. M.Tech: Admission into M. Tech is based on the rank obtained in PGECET, preference given to GATE qualified candidates
3. MBA: Admission into MBA is based on the merit achieved in ICET.
- a.Category-A: 70% of seats are allotted for merit students based on their rank attained in ICET.
- b.Category-B: 30 % of the seats are earmarked for other candidates.
