The above table signifies the cut-off trend followed by the authorities of the college in the year 2018. Different courses proffered by the college hold different rank requirements depending on the number of candidates and the availability of seats in the institution.
Although during normalisation, Grade 12th Marks are not used to evaluate the JEE Rank, but still students who scored at least 75% marks in 12th Class have more chances of getting a seat in his/her desired Institute.
Students within the cut-off Rank of their desired college, appear for the JEE Counselling Process (by JAB or CSAB +) after which they can participate in Seat Allotment Process which is organised online by JoSAA. Whether you are a student residing in India or NRI Student abroad, you can choose the Engg. Colleges from the List of JoSAA Participating Colleges. Here we will elaborate about one of the top NITs in India- NIT Trichy.
Established in the year 1964, National Institutes of Technology situated in Tiruchirapalli (Trichy) is one of the most desired engineering colleges amongst the students appearing for JEE. After the concerned authorities publish the main cut-off list, this college exhibits its own list for admission into various courses offered by the autonomous institution.
The list enunciates the ranks that the students appearing for JEE need to secure in order to fetch seats in various engineering courses. Both opening and closing JEE Ranks are mentioned in the list. All the students who have attained ranks that lie above the closing rank relating to their intended course, fail to get a seat. Thus, the list signifies all those ranks that will be eligible to get admission in sundry courses.
The rank requirements vary depending on the course opted for, by the students as well as the category (Gen/OBC/SC/ST) they belong to. NRI Students who qualified JEE are to apply under General Category.
